Neoteric Hovercraft Inc. located in Terre Haute, Indiana is the original light hovercraft manufacturer.  Incorporated in 1973, Neoteric is the oldest standing light hovercraft manufacturer in existence today.  Boasting clientele spanning over 50 countries, our craft are world renown for their reliability and performance.  Now we’re looking to add another member to our team.  We’re searching for a skilled Copywriter who can process marketing ideas and transform them into teasing and informative messages for all of our written marketing content vehicles in a fast-paced atmosphere.  The nature of light hovercraft combined with their harsh operating environments and rigorous customer demands make for a challenging and rapidly changing work atmosphere.  We’re looking for someone who can help us keep up with the fast pace of today’s clientele. 

  Qualifications:

  • Degree in English, journalism, communication or related field
  • 2+ years experience in copywriting for companies, agencies or journalism preferred (internships or placements accepted)
  • Fluency in navigating within social media and on-line technologies
  • Solid understanding of marketing and advertising principles
  • Exceptional writing skills and attention to detail
  • Understanding of the industry and healthy approach to its limitations
  • Understanding of graphic design and active approach towards the relation between textual and visual elements

Responsibilities:

  • Interacting with project team to understand business objective and target market demographics
  • Collaborating with creative team members to follow conceptual direction of branding and advertising initiatives
  • Executing creative ideas through copywriting focused on desired results
  • Working with senior project leads to produce copy/messaging that grabs attention and enhances company’s brand and visual identity
  • Working from creative briefs and under the direction of marketing director, translating concepts into effective messaging across multiple channels and deliverables

Starting salary is commensurate with the industry norm but can be quickly increased depending on applicant’s abilities.
